The beautiful Higginson Park in Marlow runs down to the River Thames where you can stroll along the flat towpath, boats can be hired and Salters Steamers run river cruises to Henley, Maidenhead and Windsor. There's no better way to explore the river than by canoe. Hour, half day or full day packages can be arranged. Salters Steamers are a family firm that has provided first-class hospitality on the River Thames for over 150 years (est. 1858). Their cruises combine traditional style, contemporary comforts and the highest modern standards. Their boats leave Marlow’s Higginson Park twice a day.

If you wish, you can combine a boat experience with a meal at the Spice Merchant (Indian Restaurant Henley,) before or after, or even request delicious canapés to be served onboard.
