Making a booking

Do I need to pre-pay for my booking?
The dates of your booking will be held upon payment of a non-refundable deposit of 30% or payment in full. Any booking less than 4 weeks in advance of your stay must be paid for in full immediately.
If you are unable to pay the balance before the stated due date, you will forfeit your deposit and your booking will be cancelled but we will endeavour to contact you prior to any cancellation.

How do I book?

Please visit our bookings page to request your reservation.
Bookings made through our online system are provisional until confirmed via email by Shillingridge.

Is there a security deposit?

Adult parties of over 6 people may be asked to pay a £300.00 security deposit.

What is the cancellation policy?
Please read our cancellation policy

What time is check-in?
Your lodge will be available from 3pm on the day of your arrival. Please make sure to arrive before 7pm so we can show you where everything is.

What time is check-out?
Check out is at 11am on the day of your departure, this is to allow us time to change over before the next guests arrive in the afternoon.

Do you have a minimum stay?
We offer a minimum 2-night stay.

Accommodation

What is the maximum capacity?
We have 2 lodges on site. Our maximum capacity is 12 (6 per lodge), if you book both the lodges you will have the whole place to yourself.

Are pets allowed?
We do not allow pets on site. 

Are children allowed?
Shillingridge offer an amazingly unique family experience. On-site your children can collect newly laid hens eggs for breakfast, play board games, dress up, toast marshmallows around the campfire or build a den. Beyond the site there is also lots to explore with the little ones. Take a look at the family adventures that await you. 

Do you accommodate large groups?
It is the right of Shillingridge to refuse group bookings if we feel they may be detrimental to our other guests. We do not accept Hen or Stag groups. We will consider group bookings if both tents are booked.

What is included in the bathroom?
We have luxurious private bathrooms which include gorgeous free standing roll top slipper baths and power showers. There is a separate sink and flushing WC. The bathrooms are at the rear of the lodges and with the door open you can enjoy a private woodland bath.

What is included in the kitchen?
Each glamping lodge is equipped with a fully functioning kitchen with a wood-burning stove with a working oven. There is also a four-ring gas hob and fridge. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need right down to tea towels and condiments.

What happens if I break/damage something?
Some small breakages i.e the odd wine glass or plate will be over looked but if you break something you will be expected to pay for its replacement.

Is the accommodation and site accessible? 
Our aim is to meet the needs of all our guests. The hilly nature of the property might make access difficult for guests with limited mobility. Please speak to us before you book.

Do the safari tents have hot tubs?
We do not have hot tubs on site.

Are we allowed to have a BBQ on site?
Both lodges have their own gas BBQ and a compendium with board and card games to entertain your family and friends. BBQ food packs are available to order.

Are there local places to eat and visit?
There are many local attractions right on our doorstep suitable for families and couples. Marlow and the surrounding areas also provide some of the most beautiful walks and have a fantastic selection of award-winning pubs and restaurants.

What is there to do for couples on a romantic break?
Shillingridge is the perfect spot for a glamping couples retreat. We can offer Pilates, Yoga classes and spa treatments which are available in your lodge or outside, where you can take advantage of the peaceful, natural surroundings. You might want to enjoy long walks followed by a soak in our roll top slipper bath with woodland view. Take a romantic cruise on a boat along the river Thames, enjoy a cosy dinner at one of the local village pubs and relax at your lodge by the campfire under the stars. Looking for a relaxing retreat? How far is the glamping site from London?
Our luxury glamping lodges are conveniently located just 35 miles from London. Making our site easily accessible to reach all the main attractions London has to offer. Many guests also wish to escape the hustle and bustle of London city life and look for easily accessible glamping lodges near London.
